The mission of the program was to spread human rights literacy among various sections of the society and promote awareness on human rights and related issues and sensitize the implementing officials.

National Human rights Commission, New Delhi in collaboration with Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa Charitable Trust conducted Human Rights Awareness Seminar on 13th Dec 2008 at Krishnagiri.

Resource persons were from human rights development related departments. Shri.P.Micheal Vetha Siromony IAS, chief coordinator, of National Human Rights Commission of India presided over the program and addressed the audience. A large number of participants attended the seminar.

Similar such awareness programs are being organized at various locations in Tamil Nadu, by our MTF volunteers.

In todays scenario human rights violations like slavery, bonded labour, Child labour, sexual harassment of women, manual scavenger, child marriage, terrorism, public health negligence, trafficking etc are being inflicted on the citizens of our country.

Since Human Rights Awareness among the public is very low, MTCT join hands with Human Rights Commission of India and similar organizations and other NGOs to promote Human Rights Literacy.
